Be cautious of suspicious emails, phone calls, and text messages which are asking for personal and financial information. If you receive a request for your information, you do not have to give it. Even if it means losing a purchase, it may be worth it if the receiver is actually a scammer. When you swipe your credit/debit card always be sure the device you are using is secured to the machine reading the card. For example, at an ATM, check to be sure the card reader is permanently attached to the ATM machine and can’t be easily removed.
